Causes & Treatment Options For Menorrhagia (Heavy Menses)

Menorrhagia is defined as excessive menstrual bleeding lasting more than 7 days or heavy flow requiring changing pads/tampons frequently (more than 5 times a day).

Causes
  1. Hormonal changes.
  2. Use of IUDs.
  3. Presence of Fibroids/Polyps.
  4. Use of some medications such as emergency pills.
  5. Uterine Infections.
  6. Coagulation disorders.
  7. Trauma.
